About Us

Rock Energy International is a member of VelcoAsia Group, a diversified business enterprise involved in insurance loss adjustment, printing, property management, shipping and related services, and manpower outsourcing.

Rock Energy began operation in 1997 by trading one barge load shipment of Indonesian coal for a cement plant in the country. By the end of year 2000, the coal trading volume grew to over 800,000 metric tons of local and imported coal sold to various cement plants and a power station located in Cebu.

In 2001, SIO2 Resources Corporation was established to provide high-grade imported silica sand primarily for the glass bottle manufacturer and local silica quartz for the fiber-cement board manufacturer and copper smelting plant.  The company operates a silica storage facility located in Mabini Batangas to ensure on-time delivery of imported silica sand to its glass and other industrial customers.

Total calculated coal resource in this area is estimated at 9 Million Metric Tons.

In 2009, the company developed a covered warehouse facility inside Navotas Fishport complex (now known as (Store 1) in support of the new business of supplying coal to small boiler units (SBU).  This facility has a storage capacity of 10,000 MT with a pier which can accommodate three barges of up to 4,000 MT capacity.

This business eventually evolved into a specialized supply chain management service leading to the establishment of EnergiesSupply Chain Solutions, Inc. in 2010.

Energiessupply established two more storage facilities located at the Vitas Industrial Estate in Vitas Tondo Manila (Store 5) and constructed its own port facility capable of discharging imported coal shipments from barges of up to 10,000 MT capacity.

Store 5 is the only private port facility located in Manila specifically designed to comply with safety and environmental standards in handling various bulk materials such as coal, clinker, gypsum and silica.  Total storage capacity is 40,000 MT.  The pier can accommodate two berthing each with an average discharging rate of 3,000 MT per weather working day per vessel. synonyms for ask
